If you are a proud owner of a Keurig coffee machine, then I know you have noticed the price of K cups at your local supermarket. K cups are not the cheapest solution for coffee lovers, but we love the taste and ease of our Keurig coffee makers that we pay the extra amount without hesitation. There does come a point where we look at our budget for the month or year, see how much we are spending on K cups and start looking for an alternative plan. I have spent a lot of time in my local supermarket, Target, and the internet looking for the best deals on K cups, and I can give you some tips for saving you money on K cups.

1) Check your local supermarket for sales
With the Keurig K cups being in hot demand, more and more stores are starting to see the potential in making money off selling K cups. When you are in the supermarket head over to the coffee aisle and see if any K cups are on sale, if they are, go ahead and pick a few boxes before the sale ends. Checking the Sunday sale ads in your local newspaper is also a great way to know when the sales are starting and ending.

2) Let Your Friends And Family Know
Items that you are looking at purchasing you should always bring up with your family and friends when engaging in conversation with them. When they are at the supermarket or online and come across a good deal on K cups they will pass that information your way. Not only that, but I have had friends and family buy me K cups as gifts on Holidays. This is one way that can save you money, just by casually talking about K cups with family and friends.

3) Buy in bulk
When you buy your K cups in bulk it can save you a tremendous amount of money. You can save anywhere from .05 to .10 cents a cup by purchasing in bulk. I have found that the best place to buy K cups in bulk is eBay and Amazon. In most online stores you can receive free shipping if your order is over a total amount. If you simply can’t change your brand of K Cups, you may want to consider buying in bulk.

4) Keurig My K-Cup Reusable Coffee Filter.
This clever little accessory for the Keurig lets you use your own gourmet coffee in a reusable filter. No need to throw away the coffee that is sitting in your kitchen cabinet. Just put your coffee in this filter, screw the lid down and you are all set. After the coffee is done brewing, wash the filter and reuse it over and over again. Using this filter can save you a significant amount of money by using your own coffee. Using this filter can be a little messy with the grounds, but you will be happy to know that you are saving money by using the reusable filter.

5) My-Kap kaps
The My-Kaps allows you to recycle your K-Cups environmentally. With the K cups being plastic you not only will save money, but you will be going green in the process. All you have to do is fill your recycled K Cups with your favorite coffee and snap the My-Kap on. At the time of this article you can purchase the My-Kaps for 14.99 for a pack of 3. You can also get a special removal tool and cleaning brush with your purchase. You can reuse them over and over again to save you money.

I know after you read that this that you may have scratched your head and thought that I was off my rocker because if you use Kcups you know that when you head to your local grocery store the Kcups are usually the most expensive coffee there. On average Kcups average around .50 per Kcup. I have seen some Kcups sell for as much as 1.00 per cup. Before I bought my first Keurig coffee machine, I had no problem going out to Dunkin Donuts two, three, or four times a day. After all, that is where I can get the best cup of coffee, so I thought. All that ended the night my wife was over her friend’s house that owned a Keurig Coffee machine and she quickly fell in love with the taste of the coffee. Needless to say next time she headed out to the store she picked up a Keurig and brought it home.

I was very skeptical about the coffee change in my life, but the Keurig came with 70 Kcups so I knew I would be trying them very soon. It just happened to be that very night. I gave my wife a hard time calling this “sissy” coffee, but it was inevitable, I would be the first to try the coffee. I love my coffee so much that I felt I was cheating on my coffee by not drinking Dunkin Donuts coffee.

After taking it out of the box, and quickly unwrapping it, my wife was there waiting with a mug for me. I reluctantly proceeded forward in making the coffee. I was impressed from the beginning, it is so simple and clean to brew a cup. No more messing around with coffee grounds and measurements. I used to make a mess making just one cup of coffee. I think this was the real reason my wife wanted to change my coffee habits.

I brewed my first cup in only one minute, I figured if it was that fast, it can’t taste that good. Well, after my first cup I knew that my trips to Dunkin Donuts would be over.

I went from spending $2.00 a cup of coffee to .50 a cup, and is without sacrificing taste. The Keurig comes with so many different kinds of Kcups that you will find one that satisfies your taste. Keurigs makes a great cup of coffee. I have found that you can even save more money by buying Keurig K-cups in bulk.

If you find yourself always heading out for coffee, I think you will be pleasantly surprised at how great the coffee tastes and how it can save you money in the long run. If you love your coffee as much as I do you too will save money by using a Keurig machine.
